Neumunster Trip - Raffle

The 2018 drawing was video taped this evening (4/29/2018) and the winner of this year's raffle is Sue Williams of Gasport NY - congratulations!!  (Sue purchased 4 tickets.) 😁 A big thank you to everyone that bought tickets and we wish you better luck next year!

We could not have run this year's raffle without the tremendous on site administration by wonderful photographers at the Land Rover Kentucky 3 Day Event Kim and Allen MacMillan - thank you so very much!! Also, Kari Cassel was very helpful with the online ticket sales, and Mae Jean Fichter of Mae's Way Farm near the horse park hosted a party Friday evening where she promoted more raffle ticket sales - a big thank you to you both! The American Trakehner Foundation board members did a great job of selling tickets - such a fun and productive group with which I am honored to work. Stay tuned for our next big event - a live auction fundraiser in Tryon NC at the WEG in October. More info to follow and we hope to see you there!

You can still buy tickets but they will be applied to next year's raffle & trip!  Thank you for your support of the American Trakehner Foundation!

The American Trakehner Foundation offers an educational trip for two persons to Neumunster, Germany, for the Trakehner Verband's Stallion Approvals and Trakehner Horse Auction October, 2019. Included are tickets to all the events, $2,000 roundtrip airfare allowance from a major North American departure city, car rental allowance of $500, and lodging allowance of $500 (4 nights at a hotel in or near Neumunster, Germany, and 1 night at a hotel in the flight destination city of Hamburg, Germany). All amounts are in US dollars. At least one of the recipients must be 18 years or older. Recipients must have valid travel documents (US or other passport). If one of the recipients is a minor, he or she must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Any applicable taxes or fees are the responsibility of the recipient. This trip will be awarded if a minimum number of tickets are purchased. There is no maximum number of tickets that may be sold. Odds of winning are determined by the number of tickets sold. The price of each raffle ticket is fifty US dollars ($50). Multiple tickets may be purchased.

Tickets to win the October 2019 trip may be purchased online. Drawing of the winning ticket will take place after the show jumping phase at the Kentucky 3 Day Event in Lexington in April 2019.

Thank you for your support of this exceptional educational program, and we wish you the best of luck!

  • Google Calendar ICS

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the live auction benefit fundraiser taking place during the World Equestrian Games in Mill Spring, NC, on Thursday evening, September 13, 2018, at the Parker-Binns vineyard near the Tryon International Equestrian Center which is the host site of the WEG!

We are very pleased to announce that the auction's honorary chair is longtime dressage and Trakehner enthusiast Anne Gribbons. In addition to being a charter member of the American Trakehner Association, Anne is a world renowned FEI "O" 5 star judge, former U.S. Olympic coach, and is President of the Ground Jury for the 2018 WEG. Anne has had the unique experience of living the trajectory of the evolution of dressage in the United States. A native of Sweden, Anne has been active in the U.S. dressage scene since 1972, when dressage in this country was in its infancy. She has trained and shown 16 of her own horses to Grand Prix, 9 of which were long listed for the U.S. Equestrian Team, and was a member of the U.S. silver-medal-winning team at the 1995 Pan Am Games. She developed the USEF educational pipeline and guided U.S. riders through the World Equestrian Games, the Pan American Games, and the London Olympics. She freely shares her experiences and guidance in clinics, lectures, books, and in her popular column in The Chronicle of the Horse.
