Their first Boekelo event took place from 10/11/2012 to 10/14/2012. Jonathan competed individually and as part of the US team. The US team, composed of Jonathan, Jennie Brannigan, Clark Montgomery and Phillip Dutton finished 6th. Jonathan was the top performer on the US team with Downtown Harrison. Individually, Jonathan and Downtown Harrison finished 31st out of 112 competitors. He had some time penalties but no jump penalties during the cross country and stadium jumping segments of the event
In 2015 Jonathan reports that the Bokelo competition went really well. He started the dressage warmup a bit fresh because there were cross country fences in the warmup area. Once he left that initial warmup he settled in and put in a lovely test to score a 46%. That was our best FEI score to date and put us in a good position. Cross country day was amazing. He came out firing on all cylinders and other than a hairy moment out of the first water he jumped around fabulously. He finished with 0 jumping and just a few time penalties. On Sunday he jumped superbly but did have one unlucky rail late in the course. Over all it was an amazing and worthwhile experience to prove his International competitiveness.
This 2016 season Downtown Harrison won the CIC3* at Poplar Place in September and in November the pair won the CIC3* at the Ocala Jockey Club.
